Zebra Finches 1 and 2

We are Zebra Finches named 1 and 2. I’m a hen and so is 2. We both live very comfortably, as best as can be expected, in a reasonably large black flight cage on a balcony. It offers a limited view over a part of Alansvale. I’m 1, my friend is 2 and we’re quite spoilt. We look out into our view nearly as much as Alan does, although we have a very different perspective. Sadly we have no cocks to entertain us.

Swipe right

I thought I’d write a piece covering the prevalence of online dating, swipe right. Although, I’m wondering if anyone actually reads any of my writings. Like all my silly nonsense, this presents some truth but also great big mobs of bullshit. This is an exaggerated account of diving into the impersonal, smart phone world of locating and attracting a mate.

What does Simon say

How real is the sheer nonsense presented before you? In the short stories that appear, how real are the occupants, the protagonist, the narrator, the villain, the damsel? How much of it is true? How much is purely fiction? The author of this verbal diarrhoea has no fucking idea. What does Simon say.

A Pub Night

Well fuck me. I’ve done the work required, cleaned surfaces thought beyond cleaning, thought thoughts I shouldn’t have, but overall conducted myself in a modest respectful manner. I’ve watched the political situation in Europe change. My simplistic view – it seems that there are more scared folks trying to remember and relive the past than those with sensible open arms seeking to engage with the future. Extreme right wing politics is getting stronger, more mainstream and less extreme as a result. Frightening days ahead, i’ll recall the pub night.

It was raining

It was raining. So much rain that the water seemed to be in a continuous transfer. You could almost see and feel it being sucked up into the air, whilst it’s cousins were dropping down upon you. As the wind moved these heavily rain clogged clouds to other folks further down the coast, the cycle continued. This water up and down cycle seemed to be directly aimed at the human communities below.

A lack of understanding

I would like to be sparklingly happy. The gardens are growing, the neighbours are crowing and the world is bedding on down. The smartest, most wonderful idea just leapt into my head while scanning the world wide internet. Can I do something about it? It does seem that best thing for those less satisfied with their lot, is to relocate their lot, leave their lot, or stay within their lot and change it.

The weekend and thinking of nothing

Another lazy weekend, just nothing, another way of saying “it was as boring as bat shit”. Yes, it is the weekend and thinking of nothing. Nothing stirring at all, not in the hall, nothing saw no more. The nothing was looking at itself with a sad refrain. Nothing watched and allowed itself to sit. The nothing was worried that no-one cared. It didn’t need to worry, people were less likely to care for nothing, be a good for nothing. They’d try to be something.

Change is good neighbour’s kids are not

My life is changing. I’m focused on photography. I’m also glancing about at other true relaxation. Don’t worry my passion for quality music, film and television has not wavered. I won’t be sure how much is going to change – but this change is changing me at so many levels.

Jasper is a rabbit

It’s a marvellous thing this thing. What is the thing that’s such a mystery and so sparklingly marvellous ? It’s the intangible, completely out of reach mind of the slightly verbose idiot who’s typing this drivel into his lovely iMac. You’d might wonder why i even try to describe the idiocy or the fog that dominates my mind. Well i’m not going to. I’m going off into another weird tack and changing as the wind changes.

Andy needed to change now

Andy was an angry little shit. He’d spend all day sitting watching TV, reading meaningless newspapers ( although he wondered why he did that ) and commenting out loud at the lunacy he was exposed to. He was keen to follower of politics at any level and cringed with a tingle at the current American goings on. Tea Party, Koch Brothers, Rupert Murdoch and the local “gang of dim” sadly in place as the Australian Government. The State and Local expressions of political office offered even worse outcomes. Andy needed a life changing now.
