Job Application 1973 style

I found this humorous job application written by my father; it’s not known if the humour landed him the position. He certainly has a way with words and long sentences. I added some punctuation.

Dear Sir,

I hereby apply for the position of Clerical Officer Class 4 (Executive Assistant) Management Services, in the belief that I have, since February 1973, soberly and in the manner prescribed, provided assistance to the officers who have, from time to time from the date aforesaid acted in the position of ACM (G) and without, to the best of my knowledge, and belief, causing alarm, confusion, or scandal and diligently seeking out snippets of intelligence and facilitated the unimpeded flow of divers edicts, asserted missives and public funds

And I make this solemn declaration as to the matter aforesaid that nothing stated hereto can be construed as wilfully false swearing and likely to cause offence under the laws governing sedition, the grazing of pigs on the common and public decency.

Signed
