worn out and trimmed

Here I am. waiting. Waiting for what ? Well, i don’t know. It’s another day of relaxing and introspection. I do know that I have a hairy face. I also have a set of clippers and a razor.

I’m resting doing almost nothing today, except for some personal grooming and blogging stuff as I nearly killed myself yesterday. I was hacking out one of the three old concrete footings from my old and “now gone” fence and gates, relocating what felt like 3 tonnes of mulch about the place and distributing dirt while picking rocks out of this new territory. I had to engage a man and his truck to take the huge pile of rubbish away, so away it’s gone.

I have a new fence and two sets of gates. I have barricaded my home against all of those nasty door to door sales people and anyone else who’s not invited at my front door. My front door barrier has been effectively been relocated about ten meters further out. I’ll be buying a padlock and a remote door bell.

I’ll also replace the “Beware of the Dog”, private property and adding a no hawkers sign. They won’t be able to just appear at my real front door. They be stymied at the gate. Go away i say.

This morning I went mad and fixed a WordPress theme issue I had with the new site www.mysillywriting.com it wasn’t singing the way it should have. It seems to be doing so now. I’m getting quite handy at fiddling about with the structure and application of changing themes. If you’re not using WordPress I can really recommend that you do, it’s terrific.

As terrific as my new beard and haircut is I will find the energy to hack out the remaining two footings. It’ll be much later when i recover. Meanwhile the hardware store will be shocked to experience my browsing and ultimate purchase this week.

I’m sure there will be lot’s of goodies to choose from. Paint for the fences and gates, signs and a padlock, the money keeps going out. Amazingly fast it seems.

Don’t worry though, my modelling career will certainly improve with my new facial hair.

  1. Not been here for such a long time but seems some stuff never changes. You’re still prooning yourself making sure you look daper, and over exerting yourself with the physical stuff forgetting about your aged years. Oh and you still write a great blog post

  3. Sometimes seeking solace in your own company and introspecting helps a lot in finding our areas of improvement. I hope on this lazy day you discovered somethings that you needed to take your modelling career ahead.
