A little of this and a bit more

Goodbye for now possums

Reading Time: < 1 minuteWow, I’ve been so distracted from tbaoo and my silly writing. You may have noticed or not, dear reader that I’ve been running about home handyman’ing. Digging unbelievable large, rock and clay ridden holes for my new trees and not writing any pithy writings for either. Aside from that it’s goodbye for now possums.

TheseĀ freakn’nĀ holes might as well have been created out of a concrete driveway or a service station forecourt. Shit man, what did they make my block of land out of ? Well, they’re in, thoseĀ fourĀ trees and I’ve also created a two new garden beds and sorted out the rainlessĀ crunchyĀ yard that is my home.

I’ve also come toĀ realiseĀ that this handy, hard back breaking work and my waving my tools around the place isĀ severelyĀ cutting into my writing time. Somehow I’ll find a balance between what used to be “no life” to “half and half a life”. Getting out of the house more often is also a step to come. But dear reader, my bride and I managed to get out of the house the other night.

We dolledĀ ourselvesĀ up and taxied our way to Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast. The reason, other than the almostĀ unsuccessfulĀ attempt to enjoy a pint ofĀ GuinnessĀ or three, was to catch Eat Pray LaughĀ the not so farewell tour for Barry Humphries / Dame Edna / Sir Les Paterson / Sandy Stone ( and even a new character to me Ā father Gerard Patterson ) who all helped us to say goodbye. It wasĀ hilarious, very sad and incredibly exciting. Farewell Barry till the next farewell tour, you are the absolute master.

Now here’s the champion of taste, all stand for Sir Les http://youtu.be/lWd41uPyxRw

Barry Humphries is indeed a genius and we will never see the like of him again, everyone from Royalty to movie stars adore him and righly so.

I saw his concert last night and yes it was emotional in the end.

If ony he could be cloned and go on forever.

That level of wit is not to seen anymore I’m afraid.
